Calling all BIPOC Women + Non-Binary Entrepreneurs, Builders, and Creatives!
How many times have you watched a white man with no relevant skills or track record say something wildly incorrect with complete confidence?
According to the Inequality in Popular Podcasts report by Stacy L. Smith and the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative, in the top 592 podcasts, 66.3% of hosts were men and 33.2% were women. Are men wiser? More competent? …Or do they just have the audacity?
In this 3-hour workshop, we will be unlocking your own inner white man. Together, we’ll rewrite the narratives of self-doubt and criticism, practice tolerating the fears that come up when making decisions, and develop our own delusional self-confidence while still maintaining the deep care and empathy that sets us apart from the fragile male ego.
Sliding Scale Soft Guide:
Student Rate: Currently enrolled in school or have yet to enter the workforce
Community Rate: It is difficult to comfortably or reliably provide for myself. (Also includes BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, historically marginalized groups)
Supporter Rate: I can comfortably provide for myself, along with maybe a few luxuries.
Patron Rate: I can more than comfortably provide for myself.
About the facilitator:
Khanh (she/they/daddy) is a Vietnamese American art entrepreneur and workshop facilitator who left the male-dominated engineering industry two years ago to pursue their dreams. Since then, they’ve launched an embroidery DIY kit brand as well as provided support to a range of clients from creative hobbyists, corporate employees transitioning to creative work, female business owners, and artists. Khanh hopes their work will empower, strengthen and free others to pursue lives that are wholly fulfilling and unmarred by shame and despair.
